253 Summit Place, Silverthorne
Located in the Summit Place Shopping Center, Blue Moon Bakery is a hidden gem and favorite among locals and visitors alike. Owners Ben and Kim Reil opened the eatery in 2004. Ben, a graduate of Johnson & Wales in Providence, Rhode Island, is a professional pastry chef who makes incredible wedding cakes, all occasion cakes and pastries alongside his wife and staff. The Blue Moon Bakery is open daily for breakfast and lunch. With a focus on high-quality, freshly baked products and friendly service, Blue Moon Bakery has found a special place in the hearts of its patrons. The prices are very affordable. Their Blue Moon special is a breakfast sandwich served with one egg and a choice of bacon, ham, sausage, avocado or tomato on an English muffin. They also make fruit smoothies and raspberry iced teas or lemonades that are great to take on the go. The breakfast menu features three different burritos options and huevos rancheros served with warm tortillas. You can enjoy gluten-free French toast or lox on fresh bagels from Di's Mountain Bagels. Lunch options include homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps. Hot sandwiches include a French dip, steak and cheese options and a meatball sub. As you enter you see two large cases on your right filled with an incredible assortment of baked goods: muffins, scones, cinnamon rolls, cookies, eclairs, brownies, cannolis, banana bread, cupcakes, whoopie pies, lemon bars, cream pies, cakes and much more. The kitchen is bustling, the staff is friendly, and the space is warm and inviting.
