Breckenridge Distillery was founded in Breckenridge, Colorado, in 2007. It's thought to be the world’s highest distillery, which rests at approximately 9,600 feet in elevation. Its main water supply is melting snow, which filters through dolomite, limestone and quartz from the slopes above. This mineral-rich water is ideal for proofing all Breckenridge Distillery spirits, its most well-known product being a blended bourbon whiskey, a high-rye mash American-style whiskey. The Breckenridge Bourbon is a highly awarded craft bourbon; it won Bourbon of the Year in 2011 at the International Wine & Spirits Competition and Best American Blend Whiskey in 2016 from World Whiskies Awards.

Other Breckenridge Distillery spirits include Gin, Vodka (including pear, espresso  and Chili Chile), Dark Arts (malt-mash blend), Bitters, Port and Sherry Cask Finish, Spiced Rum and Whiskey, and more.

Breckenridge Distillery's recent production facility expansion means the organization is now about to produce more with three stills. In 2016, it also began offering a restaurant and open-air bar. Called Breckenridge Distillery Restaurant, it offers new, American-style cuisine (dinner only) Tuesday through Saturday each week. The menu spans Bites (like Pork Rinds and Deviled Eggs), Meats and Charcuterie, Noodles, Caviar, Family Style options, a Kids Menu and much more.
