Springtime in the mountains can be a funny thing sometimes. Despite the Summer Solstice being snowy, sunshine is one the way this week (thank you!).
Here's the good news: With all this recent precipitation, Arapahoe Basin Ski Area extended its winter season another weekend (June 28 to 30). There might event be a chance to ski July 4; fingers crossed.
That doesn't mean there aren't a variety of summertime activities to do as well. The Summit County calendar is bursting with farmers markets, live music, outdoor yoga and much more.
With that in mind, here are my top picks for Summit This Week.

Events On Tap
The Town of Frisco is hosting Jackie & the Racket at its Thursday, June 27, Free Concert in the Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Dillon Farmers Market is Friday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on West Lodgepole Street. Dillon's Free Friday Night Concert will showcase performer Buckstein. Then on Saturday, June 29, Dillon's next free concert is featuring Jenny and the Mexicats.
Marshy Roots will perform live music at The Gold Pan Saloon in Breckenridge on Saturday, June 29, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Topolow Pops! will perform as part of the National Repertory Orchestra on Saturday, June 29. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at Breckenridge's Riverwalk Center.
Mark your calendars! The Second Annual Silverthorne Fine Art Festival is coming up Friday through Sunday, July 12 through 14. It will be held on the lawn of Silverthorne Recreation Center and will feature artists from all over the world. Burro Days is coming up next in Fairplay, Colorado; the dates are Friday, July 26, through Sunday, July 28!
